Individual names in the official recorder name search use the order Last First MI. A broad search can use a surname and first initial. Organization names should be entered as spelled. Order Indio Vital Records
Indio birth, death, and marriage certificate access is split between Riverside County ACR and California Department of Public Health Vital Records. County events become available through the ACR after the county processing period described as more than 90 days. The state office issues California birth, death, public marriage, and dissolution certificates. A divorce decree, however, comes from the court file rather than the state’s short-form dissolution certificate.
California uses an authorized-copy and informational-copy system under Health and Safety Code section 103526. An authorized certified copy requires a qualified person and the required sworn or identity process. A requester who is not authorized may obtain an informational certified copy of a birth, death, or nonconfidential marriage record. It is marked as not valid to establish identity. Confidential marriage records follow tighter access rules.
For family history, public marriage indexes held by the state cover 1905 through 2001 and 2010 to the present. Other years route to the county recorder, while confidential marriages route to the county clerk that issued the license.
